Damar Hamlin allowed to leave hospital after cardiac arrest

Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin has been discharged from the hospital eight days after suffering cardiac arrest during an NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 24-year-old will continue his recovery at home and with the Bills’ medics, the Buffalo hospital’s treating physician said.

Hamlin was flown Monday from Cincinnati to Buffalo for further medical evaluations and a battery of neurological tests.

Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after colliding with an opponent and had to be resuscitated.
