“Makes it harder for us”

Former Bundesliga professional Luiz Gustavo, who recently became Cristiano Ronaldo’s team-mate at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, sees the superstar’s arrival not just as an advantage when it comes to opponents in his own league.

“Cristiano’s presence makes it more difficult for us because all teams now want to look particularly good against him and he motivates everyone,” said the 35-year-old, who has been with Al-Nassr since the summer RT Arabic.

Ronaldo is definitely an asset for his own team. “His presence at Al-Nassr gives the group a huge advantage because we learn from him every day because of the outstanding skills that he possesses technically and physically,” said Gustavo.

Ronaldo was “made for challenges and he always masters them. Everyone here is waiting for what he shows us. He has already scored his first goal and thus relieved himself of the pressure,” said the former Bayern player.

After scoring his first competitive goal for Al-Nassr in Friday’s 2-2 win at Al-Fateh, the Riyadh club’s next away game is scheduled for Thursday. The opponent is then Al-Wehda.
