Central defender Aymeric Laporte is apparently toying with the idea of leaving Manchester City next summer. A report of Mundo Deportivo According to him, he should already have a dream goal in mind: FC Barcelona.
Laporte is still under contract with City until 2025, but is unhappy with his current situation there. After missing the first few weeks of the current season with an injury, the 28-year-old has not yet been able to regain his regular place and only plays irregularly. Nathan Aké and Rúben Dias are usually given preference by coach Pep Guardiola over Laporte, who has only made 15 appearances this season.
Loud Mundo Deportivo Barça already know that Laporte City would like to leave. And also because his preferred new club would be the Catalans. Barcelona’s financial situation could become a problem: City would have to ask for an affordable price for the Blaugrana so that a transfer of Laporte to Camp Nou could take place.
Laporte moved from Athletic Bilbao to Manchester in early 2018 for 65 million euros. To date, the Spanish international has played a total of 170 competitive games for City, in which he scored 12 goals.
