It’s that time again! NXGN selects the 75 best young footballers – some players from FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also among the candidates.
The final NXGN ranking 2023 will be published on Tuesday at 1 p.m. For the first time there is nine female and nine male winners each.
The requirement: All players must have been born on or before January 1, 2004 in order to be accepted.
The so-called “NXGN Nine” form the absolute elite among the top talents on the planet. They managed to break out of the top 50 young footballers and the top 25 strongest players in the world. In the run-up, we take a look at the up-and-coming professionals who made it into the respective list.

NXGN 2023: The background
The NXGN ranking was established in 2016 by GOAL was created to give the best young footballers in the world a stage and to honor their achievements. NXGN has long since become its own brand.
The rankings are compiled by a network of youth football experts in 37 countries. More than 100 experts contributed to the final selection.
The winners in recent editions were Jude Bellingham, Ansu Fati, Jadon Sancho, Justin Kluivert, Rodrygo, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Youri Tielemans.
At the top of the NXGN women’s list were Melchie Dumornay, Lena Oberdorf and Hanna Bennison.
