Formula 1, broadcast on ORF or on ServusTV: Who shows / broadcasts which race on free TV and live stream?
In Austria, the rights situation – compared to Germany, where with RTL a provider dropped out – not changed. Also this season show the ORF and ServusTV all 23 planned races on free TV and in the live stream.
The distribution is completely balanced ORF owns the broadcasting rights to twelve races, ServusTV as well. If you add both numbers, you get 24, although only 23 Grands Prix take place. That’s because the ORF and ServusTV are in action at the same time for the Austrian GP in Spielberg. For all other races, only one of the two providers is responsible for the transmission.
